MARVOSYM.TTF ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. The purpose ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Windows True Type Symbol Font MARVOSYM.TTF is a valuable addition for any office or civil engineering purpose. It contains often-needed but rarely available symbols as Fax Machine, Answering Machine, Cellular Phone, Steel Profile Symbols, the original Euro Currency Symbol and lots more. 2. How to install ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In Windows 9x, all you need to do is to copy MARVOSYM.TTF into the directory C:\WINDOWS\FONTS. Alternatively, you can follow the menu path Start / Settings / Control Panel / Fonts / File / Install New Font. In Windows 3, you need to install the font from Main / Control Panel / Fonts / Add. In Windows NT 4, begin with My Computer / Control Panel / Fonts / File / Install New Font. 3. The status ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Freeware. You may use it at no cost but you have to use it at your own risk. 4. The distribution status ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Archive MARVOSYM.ZIP is freely distributable. You are not allowed to make any changes to its files. You are not allowed to delete any files from it. The latest version of the file can be downloaded from http://www.marvosym.de 5. Insbesondere muss DIESER TEXT immer mitgegeben werden. Die Archivdatei MARVOSYM.ZIP darf vor einer Weitergabe nicht beliebig umbenannt werden: die ersten Zeichen des Dateinamens muessen MARVOSYM oder MVSYM lauten. Eine Garantie fuer Verwendbarkeit zu irgendeinem Zweck wird nicht ausgesprochen. Eine Garantie auf Weiterentwicklung des Fonts wird nicht gegeben. Eine Buendelung mit kommerzieller Software ist untersagt, wenn dadurch der Eindruck erweckt wird, MARVOSYM.TTF sei ein geldwerter Bestandteil dieser Software. (Beispiel: die Formulierung "mit Euro-Font" ist unzulaessig, die Formulierung "mit kostenlosem Euro-Font" ist ok.) Einem Vertrieb auf kommerziell zusammengestellten Sammlungen (z.B. Freeware-CDs) wird nur unter der Auflage zugestimmt, dass erstens nur die neueste Version direkt von der Webseite verwendet wird und ich zweitens ein Referenzexemplar dieser Sammlung in den ersten 14 Tagen nach Erscheinen erhalte. Da ich die c't sowieso abonniert habe, entfaellt diese Auflage fuer die Shareware-Sammel-CDs der c't.
