On July 1st, I uploaded my first font design to AOL. During that month I was gratified to have in excess of 1600 downloads of "gogo�big", both on the Mac and on the PC side. One of the largest download counts of a font on AOL. The gif sample is a great way to preview a font, and the possible merit of a font is indicated by a large download. Am I fair in assuming that out of 1600, a few individuals may have used the font? Yet in those thirty days, I have not recieved any shareware money whatsoever. I can understand that one might download a font, look at it and not like it. Fine. Toss it. The shareware concept allows for that. I know that I have paid for shareware fonts I have used. Enough preaching. I'm taking one last shot at shareware. If you like and use it, please pay for it. If you don't like it, trash it.
